Ask
The lowest price a seller is currently willing to accept.
Bid
The highest price a buyer is currently willing to pay.
Breakout
A move beyond a defined level that needs volume or catalyst confirmation.
Correlation
How closely two assets move together over a chosen period.
DXY
The US Dollar Index. Often a pressure gauge for crypto, gold and major FX pairs.
Funding rate
A periodic payment between perpetual futures longs and shorts that reflects crowd positioning.
Liquidity
The ability to trade size without sharply moving price.
Open interest
The total number of outstanding derivative contracts. Rising open interest can confirm participation.
R multiple
A way to measure trade outcome relative to initial risk. A 2R winner makes twice the amount risked.
Resistance
A price area where sellers have previously absorbed buying pressure.
Spread
The difference between best bid and best ask. Wider spreads mean higher execution cost.
Stop loss
The price level where the trade idea is invalidated and risk is cut.
Support
A price area where buyers have previously absorbed selling pressure.
Volume
The traded amount over a period. Strong moves with weak volume deserve skepticism.
